I grew up seeing the weird-ass American PBS version, with George Carlin and live action segments featuring Frenchy from Grease. Wasn’t a huge fan.
Still, be interesting to learn about the OG Ringo version and see how it differs.
Great episode, Mouse. I especially love the phrase “a simple story, told with incredible sophistication.” That strikes me as an amazing compliment to give (though I can’t say I care much for Thomas the Train-Engine. π)
Oh, and I’ve started listening to The Podcast at Dawn’s House, as well. There is something incredibly soothing about listening to three Irish women talk about a series of kids books I have no connection to. Truly a tonic in these troubled times. π
Esther will love to hear that, thanjs so much
