A whisper in your ear…

In our most recent episode of Now That’s What I Call Nostalgia Esther is offended by my suggestion that the episode won’t be out by the time The Burial Tide is published. Well well well.

Oh, and we also spend almost two hours talking about The Legend of Prince Valiant, a fantastic and unfairly overlooked cartoon fantasy series from the early nineties. Onward! To Camelot!

  1. Good grief, but cartoon Prince Valiant takes me back a way – an animated adaptation of IVANHOE was the formative influence on my taste in fiction, but Prince Valiant played some role in catering to my youthful tastes.

Heck, I even have a kind word or two for the Live Action adaptation starring Ms Katherine Heigl and Mr Stephen Moyer!

  2. Also, while I thought MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL is quite, quite funny – in other news Pope still Catholic, water still wet – I’d far rather watch the sort of movie it parodies.

Comedy is all very well, but give me Romance any day.

  3. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever seen this one, but I looked up the into and damn if that theme song isn’t seared onto some long-forgotten neurons. Must’ve caught it occasionally and gotten it mixed up in my brain with King Arthur and the Knights of Justice, the other 90s Camelot cartoon.
