  1. Congratulations on this review of your new book, Mouse.

Speaking of reviews, I saw NOSFERATU (2024) last week and thought you might appreciate a little advance warning – this is a film for cat lovers, with ample feline content and rodent viewers may therefore find themselves triggered.

Also, there’s a Zombie Vampire with strong and very ugly Droit de Seigneur overtones who is naked a truly distressing amount of the time (No, that’s not very often, but it’s still far too often for comfort).

On the other hand it’s a rock solid vampire film and a worthy addition to the ranks of classic adaptions: my gut instinct is that it’s not quite a classic in it’s own right, but I’m entirely willing to watch it again and prepared to revise my opinion over multiple viewings.

I’ll finish there, as I don’t want to give away any Spoilers (We hates them, we hates them FOREVER!), but I will note that NOSFERATU (2024) might well make an interesting double bill with RENFIELD*, if only as evidence in favour of your thesis that Graf Orlock is the version of Dracula we do NOT want to linger in our imagination and Count Dracula is the vampire with Rock Star charisma (Complete with Dark Ages mullet).

*If only so that we can all wonder where the Nicholas Hoult Classic Vampire Cinematic Universe will go next.
