The elephant in the room…

Hey folks, new episode has dropped. This go round we talk about Johnson and Friends, an Australian show for tots that aired in the nineties and that features grown ass adults in fuzzy animal costumes. What could be more wholesome?

  1. Oh god, I actually remember this and I have no idea why. I was well outside the pre-school target age group when it aired in the US on Fox Kids.

I think maybe it just happened to be on at like 6 am, just when I woke up for school, and was the only thing that wasn’t the news or a soap opera, so I’d blearily register it on the TV while eating Cheerios and mentally calculating if enough time had passed since my last phony sick day.

About the only thing I actually remember is wondering why the kid had a frigging concertina. That’s like the worst toy to give a child, they will either hate it or torture you with it.

  2. For a second, I thought this was gonna be a review of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared…

Can’t say I’ve heard of this show, but I’m sure it brought some joy to some kids on the other side of the world. I’ll check out the podcast if I can.

  3. I remember when this was on Fox Kids back in the day, when it aired as a part of the “Fox Cubhouse” alongside Rimba’s Island, The Magic Adventures of Mumfie, and The Animal Show!
